Our Founder
Every holiday season, I find myself surrounded by family, listening to them share stories, reminisce, and laugh over cherished memories. A few years ago, during Thanksgiving, I had a realization. With my podcasting equipment in hand, I thought: Why not use this to capture these moments? To preserve not just the stories, but the voices of the people telling them.
That idea became deeply personal when my wife’s mother passed away. My wife had saved a voicemail from her mother for as long as she could, clinging to that small but powerful reminder of her voice. When the voicemail was lost, there was no getting it back. It struck me: without intentional effort, these irreplaceable parts of our loved ones—like their voices, their laughter, their stories—can fade away.
Sadly, I didn’t act on this idea when I first had it. I remembered it only after my own sister passed away from cancer. I missed the opportunity to record her stories, her voice, her presence. That loss reinforced my mission: to ensure others don’t face the same regret.
The Voice of Story exists to help families preserve their loved ones’ voices and stories while they’re still here. Through guided, interview-style storytelling, we capture the essence of who they are—so that future generations can know their voices, their stories, and the legacy they leave behind.
